Three years ago, Hurricanes Katrina and Rita struck the Gulf Coast. This August, we remember what was lost and celebrate the progress made toward rebuilding lives in south Louisiana.

ProgressInLouisiana.org is Louisiana's Virtual Media Center and will provide journalists covering Louisiana’s recovery and the third anniversaries of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita with information, resources and news alerts during the months of August and September 2008.

ProgressInLouisiana.org is a joint partnership of the Louisiana Recovery Authority (LRA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and our state and federal partners.

To discover more about Louisiana's recovery, news, events and resources to help in your coverage of the anniversaries, please explore this site.
